okkayyyy so i almost forgot to do my blog..but i didnt!! :). on the other hand, im scared that i havent been getting full credit for all my blogs because they dont "seeem" like they are 15 minutes long...well um mine have been and if not then there around it..i just suck at typing because i have long nails, like reeeeely long nails. so it takes forever to type. i can totally argue on that. lol because just because something doesnt "Seeem" like they are that long, that cant detrmine if it really is or not...but so that i dont have that problem anymore..im gonna actually talk about a certian topic every day after i talk about my weekend. so today im talking about "change"...but annyways, my weekend was ok i guess..i forgot to do my science worksheet so im pretty bummed about that!! but its okay..one paper wont hurt me. and in english i have a c....i need to raise that reeally quick. so thats why illl  make my bloggs loook 15 minutes long. lol ok so now ima talk about change



"CHANGE" ok....that word i have heardd sooo many times this year. im not talking about the change in your pocket. no im talking about when someone starts to act different. see the thing i hate about change is that it can change people in a bad way. and thats exactly what has happen to me. me myself,, i think that i have not changed, and any change that i have made was a change that was for the better. a lot of  people that i know have changed...they say that they havent changed, they just have grown up. But the last time i checked, isnt growing up a change???????????????????????????????????? but why is everyone trying to be grown. isnt grown when you pay your own dag on bills and your responsible?? like what the heck dude!! it makes me feel dumb, because i actually like being a kid..shoot im not tryna grow up to fasst because like you are grown for way more years than you are a kid..... that can wait. like thats what confuses me. "change" is what has definitley "changed" my life...lol like i had to change everythiing around me, not about me, but around me...it really does suck because when you have known someone for soo long, and then they change, but you still stay the same..like you and that person dont have that much in common anymore...so not only do you have to get away from that person, but your stuck with the memories of when that person use to be just like you. and no matter how much you want things to go back to normal, it just never will be the same. ughh. sooo thats my little lecture on the word "change".

Nightjohn is a story based upon how slaves were poorly treated. The story “Nightjohn” is being told by a former slave with the name of Sarny. She goes through the story describing her life when she and the others around her had to suffer. She goes on to describe some of the things that the slaves had to go through. One character in particular that was treated very poorly was Alice . Alice worked in the fields picking and hoeing, who was set as a breeder because the white house thought that she had a good body. The slaves were not allowed to be near the white house unless they were they were house servants or a gardener. Alice was caught wandering in the white house and was caught by the master and took her to a Spring House where she was immediately whipped by a rawhide whip cut that was used on the cotton gin. When the master whipped the slaves, he made the others watch and he would usually whip them until their entire backs were ripped open and bleeding. He would also rub salt into the wounds to cause the slaves more pain. The slaves weren’t allowed to learn how to read and write, but they wanted to learn so that one day they could tell their story so that people would understand what they had to go through. A man who was known as Nightjohn was the man who taught the slaves how to read and write, he taught Sarny a letter a night. Nightjohn was actually a man who worked as a slave too, he actually escaped to the north, but he came back because he wanted to teach people how to read and write. His plan obviously worked because if it didn’t then we would not know the story of Sarny and what they had to go through.

The story "Mascot" was about a young boy with huge dreams and goals, that no one believed in. This little boys name was Malcolm, who was around 13 years old and was one of the smartest kids in his class. He was really serious and dedicated to his school work, but it seemed as if people didn't notice his dedication, they didn't really care about what he did. Malcolm wasn't important in their eyes or any other "nigger", which is what they were known as. Most of the people didn't even say it as a mean way, it rolled off their tongues like it was a normal thing to do. They felt like it was unreal for a "nigger" to have dreams or to go anywhere in life. In fact, one day Malcolm teacher asked him what he had seen himself doing in the future. Malcolm replied back saying that he wanted to be a lawyer, but the teacher told Malcolm that he should be realistic and that a boy like him shouldn't dare be dreaming for a job like that. The thing is, any other person in that class which were all non-African american could dream of being anything that they wanted and wouldn't be looked down upon for it.

The stories "Mascot" and "Nightjohn" are both very smilar to the movie "The Great Debaters". All three of these stories are about three different sets of humans who had big dreams, but were put down because of their skin color. It seemed as though if your skin color was a little darker then others, then you were set apart from the rest. You had to suffer more that others with lighter skin had to, and you had to go through wayyyyyy more obsticles to follow your dream then others did. It was a true pain. In the story of "Nightjohn" it was the slaves they had to go through pain physically and emotionally. Emotionally because they wanted to be free so bad, but didnt have that right. They were captured, trapped, and tortured. Expected to do work, and if something wasnt done the way the master wanted it to be, then they went through phyical pain. beat with whips, hung, set on fire, and left somewhere to die. There was emotinal pain in "Mascot" because Malcolm had to listen to people tell him that he wouldnt be able to follow the dream he had been dreaming, Telling him that the goals that her had for himself for unrealistic and impossible for him to reach and acheive. There was emotional pain in "The Great Debaters", three intelligent kids who had huge dreams to be sucessful were put down, no one believing in them or anyone else with the same skin color. They had even witnessed a african american being hung and burned. Not because he stole something, not because he killed someone, lied, or committed any crime..But because of his skin color. But these three sets of people also found a brighter day in their situations. The slaves from "Nightjohn" were had some type of progress or we wouldnt know their story today, they learned how to read and write, and on top of that, theres no more slavery anymore. Malcolm from "Mascot" grew up to be a inspirational speaker, speaking such as "Human rights are something you were born with. Human rights are your God-given rights. Human rights are the rights that are recognized by all nations of this earth."    

  And the kids in "The Great Debaters" all grew up to do very great things, they all changed something in history and really proven that when you have a dream and you want to achieve it, do it and dont let what someone says to you stop you from going after your dream.

okay so in english were watching "the Great Debaters"  i think thats what its called. lol but its reeally good so far, it just upsets me soooo much in some parts..ima little nervous for the essay part though. but i didnt do anything this weekend, i was grounded so i stayed in bed, texted my friends, and watched tv. oh yeh and i watched a lot of makeup tutorials. lol that might sound corny, but im really in to that type of stuff and i like doing my nails and other peoples and i also love applying makeup to myself and others..i just wish my eyes werent so squinty!!! but yeaah enough about thatttt lol i hope i get alot of cosmetics for x-mas though! but im watching real housewifes of Atlanta sooo ima bounce.

im just sooo freaking upset because that freakin comment that we have to do every dag on friday when EVERYBODY is freakin busy...i forgot to do it. i havent done it ONCE...why?? because the whole week i have to worry about whats due the next day in that certain class..not whats due on friday... and on FRIDAYYYY the last thing im worried about is a comment, like ughhh thats gonna mess up my grade. english is definitely not my favorite class this year..matter of fact its far from it!!! all because of the comment that i have to put on a post that somebody made...smh!! ughhhh. but besides worrying about how much i hate english right now, my weekend was wondeful :) i ate pizza, watched movies. saturday i went to mirandas for her sweet 16 and today i went to lunch with my mom and friend. welp thats all im writing because i have other things besides english to worry about.

so in english we are doing a research paper..mines is about andrea yates. she drowned all 5 of her children!! isnt that crazy? like why would you go through 45 months of nothin??? why would you kill your own flesh n blood?? at least give them to childrens services. she wasss crazyyyyyyyy!. but we were in english class and i told my friend dont make me go andrea yates on you  and i mean "dont make me go crazy" right? and then mr potter told everybody i meant "dont make me drown your kids" that wouldnt even make since cause kiara doesnt even have kids...lol but that was embarrising. it made me sound like a weirdo!!...but yeah my week was great :) i went to st. louis for the long weekend and had fun with the family..i watched scary movies. went to the all, and visited a lot of relatives. the best thing about it was, they didnt even know we were coming we surprised them!!! and we drove down there in this 2011 ____________. lol i forget what it was called...but i want that ride for my 16th most def!. but i dont feel like school. im kind confused about the works cited thing..but its all good.okk welll bye. :)

ok, another sunday, another blog. mann i have no idea what to say....well the book is great so far. i reallly wana see the movie. like i want us to hurry and get done with this so when can see the movie. i want boo radley to come back to the story. he was sooo creepy. lol. sppeakin of creepy, i just looked up to see my mom peakin her head in my room lol shes been there for like 5 minutes and i didnt even see her. haha, but my week was pretty good :) my sister came in from chi town. and i went shooppin for my friends birthday, speakin of birtttthhhdayyys, mines tuesday :) so if u are reading this please give me a dollar. ima be nice, seein as how i usually charge people $5 ;) lol. idk what ima do for my b-day though. when your older its kinda like another day, ya know?? but i mean hey im not complainin, i get money, partys, cakes, and shopping !!! and my birthdays last a week. lol but yeah i really dont feel like school. well everything but math. give me school without math, and i will be fine!!! but i want to see what i got on the english project. hopefully we find out soon ;) gotts go polish my nails though lol byeeeeee!!!

okayy so heres another post...thats on time this time yayyyyy. tell me why i forgot to post the url because i slept all day. and then i got a bad grade on my quiz because mr potter had me reading all them pages on the day where all my shows come on...so like i read, but i wasnt paying attention. lol which im always gonna read with the tv off so i dont fail another quizz because that was very tragic for me, TRAGIC. lol. okay soo i like the people inn my english because everybody is not that quiet. the mockingbird book is good, boo radley is scary man...first of all boo radley... WHAT THE FLIP WILSON KINDA NAME IS BOO RADLEY.. i know thats not his real name but that name makes me soo mad. boo radley. just say that outloud to your self slowly. booo raddleyyy. eww. im mad at the book for that. haha. but oh yeah kiara this is for you...theres this one dude in our class who looks like legacy from the new boys...and me and kiaras new thing is to randomly say legacy, and i swear he looks up. because he knows he looks at him. haha. ok im kinda talkin soo randomly now. but its been 15 minutes and this is messing with my movie time "atl" with t.i. wheew theres so many cute people in this movies its just like....wait let me get back on track. cant wait for english cus its my favorite part of the day. now ive definitley went over 15 minutes...15 minutes taking away from my movie..*shaking my head* okayy bye.:)

so i checked this thingy this morning to find that im soooo stupid to write the whole thing last night, and exit out without pushing save now and their was noo draft whatsoever....... dang. so now im still going to do this even though mr potter might not count it because i tried so hard last night and i was proud of my self..lol : (

okay so english....english english english...smh. well english is my favorite subject besides science...because i like poems and stuff like that..and we are doing poems :)..buttt its not fun stuff..its like talking about traveling and wishing you could be on the train??? im kind of confused. im pretty sure ill get it sooner or later. but the class is fun cause kiara is in my english again. she was in it last year and that was my favorite class!! but omg. like the first week of class we had a substitute and everybody was in there talking..i mean when i turned i seen peoples mouths moving. but the substitute decided to keep calling me and kiara out. We were learning about non fiction and fiction...and we were taking notes. my pencil kept squeaking and then all of a sudden this dude (i know his name but i dont wanna put him on blast lol) turns around slowly and his eyes are reeally big! and he was like "pleasee stop..i will give you some of my led!! just stop" and his voice sounded like he had seen death chasing after him. hahaahahahaha. so me and kiara were laughing about it..and we couldnt stop. the teacher kept making a big deal about it and smacking her lips and what not. saying "why are you guys still talking" (maybe its just me but talking and laughing are different) and we werent full blown laughing like HAHAAHAHAAHAHAAHA it was more hehehe. meanwhile you got tommy and dante over their having a good laid back conversation lol so we were highly upset at that substitute for that...thennn when mr potter came back he said he couldnt wait to move us ... :(. so now im in the front of the class sitting alone....next to an empty desk. smh. lol but i liked english last year...and i love it this year!!!!!!!(so far ;) )
